I love the idea of this - I look forward to the response. But I try to make it a point to steer clear of Target because I can go there for toothpaste and come home $300 poorer!

great idea - i love a bargain that works!

Loreal VivePro shampoo - it's like what $3? It outshines (literally very shiny hair) every high end shampoo i've used. Used to be called Color Vive but they have changed the bottle and the name.

Favorite Conditioner - Graham Webb Re-structure. Pricey but a bottle lasts me 6mths.

Favorite Skin Care Regime - (and Dermo recommended - the entire Oil of Olay Regenerist Line) Totally 100% hooked on the stuff.

The only wrinkle remover that works on me? BOTOX and retin A (yes, i have rawhide for skin)

Eye MakeUp remover - Loreal in the blue bottle - just says eye makeup remover - $4.
NOT GREASY

Favorite mascara - Estee Lauder Projectionist if you have fine short lashes - it really lengthens them without giving you spider legs on your eyes.

Favority lipstick - sorry girls - this is my weak spot - Chanel Lip Gloss in the tube.

Great idea for a post!

I am in sore need of new makeup, as my little one dropped the entire makeup bag down the toilet. The toilet her older brother never flushed.

Now I'm pretty cheap, but not cheap enough to clean that up.

Shampoo and conditioner - and this comes from a professional ladies, Sunsilk anti poof(blue bottle) Does not make my head itch, leaves it soft and shiny.

Frizzease is a great product 1/2 price at walmart compared to other places. Also got2b products are good as well.

Mascara - eyeslipsface.com - make that is $1, yes $1. Love the mascara.

Foundation - full coverage (this is where I pay more but love it) Mary Kay

oh, how exciting! I love reading about others favorite beauty products!!

I just got some of the mineral powder makeup from physicians formula and I love it!! I have blotchy skin and it really conceals it without being cakey!!

Love the Nice n easy root touch up. Though I have found the best color for my resistant grays is a professional Clairol color sold at Sally's Beauty for like 2.00 a bottle!! CHEAP!

My mother in law sells Avon so I get a lot of stuff through her.

Blessings,
Karla
ps - did you see Meredith is hosting a get-together for local bloggers?

also, Target sells a line called "Boots" that I've been dying to try! It is really reasonable.

Blessings,
Karla

Love this. I use the SunSilk Anti-frizz line (green) and I also use the deep conditioner (moisturize) in the pink tub once or twice a week. It's only $3 each and I believe my hair is worth $12 a month to look GREAT.
I use Cover Girl's Lash Exact in black. I LOVE IT! My only other makeup is chapstick or lip gloss if I feel fancy. (I am only 26, and my hubby really doesn't like makeup AT ALL)
I use Clean&Clear products to cleanse and moisturize my skin. I also use a toner daily to help control my mild acne.
I use Aloe and sunblock for anti-wrinkle protection. And I quit smoking a few years ago.
Nail Polish- cheap and clear, occasionally I'll use Revlon Red on my toes but what's the point of a manicure when it doesn't even last a full day?
Hair Color - well, I have been pregnant or nursing for the past 2 years so I haven't used any for a while. (I like to darken the blond highlights in my dark brown hair, and yes some of the "blond" really is gray but at 26 no one really notices - I think)

Cool idea!

I have to say my favorite makeup product (don't like to live without) is Clinique "Take the Day Off" eye/makeup remover. I know, I know, not from Tar-chay, but worth the price (like $19 at Macy's). Takes waterproof mascara off without ripping out your eyelashes!

Hey Fussy, I've got my post up!

http://notadiylife.blogspot.com/2007/10/favorite-beauty-products.html

I figured I should do my own post since I "pimp" a certain cosmetics company!

Hope the data collecting is going well!

I adore Clinique Instant Pore Minimizer! I get it online for about $16, and it lasts about a month. I put it on under my foundation, and makes skin look flawless!!

If you are "lucky" enough to have fine, thin hair like me, you might want to try Sunsilk Anti-flat shampoo (orange bottle). I read about it in Real Simple magazine. I think it works!

Wrinkle creams. I know wrinkle creams

The Oil of Olay Eye Regenerist. Very good for the eyes. Plus I discovered a little secret. Those big nasty, red, cyst zits you get as an adult that leave a red circle long after the zit is gone. This eye stuff gets rid of the red. I swear

Avon Ageles Results moisturizers. Love this stuff. I forget the price but it's actually cheaper per ounce that the Oil of Olay stuff. I've been using for about 4 months and I DO notice a reduction in my laugh lines I'm getting on the eyes.

Shampoo/Styling Products: John Frieda Secret Weapon styling cream. Great for defining my curls and doing away with the curl frizz. LOVE IT!

I LOVE Bare Minerals!! Been using it for years!

I have a big secret to share! Lancome makes Loreal, the skin care products are identical!! Walmart brand is the identical, knock off, of Loreal!! So, the price is soooo low, but you are getting Lancome!! Amazingly fun, and something this smart mommy takes full advantage of!

xo!

Hello Fussy! Nice to meet you! I have many favourites to share with you.
1. Herbal Essences shampoos and conditioners are fabulous and affordable. They make your hair so soft and silky and they smell good enough to eat. Love 'em! On a side note - anyone reading this who has curly or wavy hair should read "Curly Girls" because it will tell you how to best use your shampoo and conditioner to make your curls behave. It transformed my hair. Read it! That's an order! LOL
2.I like Got2Be products - they work great.
3. Makeup - well, I am a huge fan of Avon (and their product line called Mark, which is in direct competition with M.A.C. cosmetics at a fraction of the cost). Their makeup, especially their Mark line, is fabulous. (I am also an avon rep, can ya tell? LOL I signed up because I really like avon products)
4. I have delicate fussy skin so I use simple Petrophyllic soap on my face and Avon (of course) shower gels. I can't remember who makes my face lotion though - I think it's L'Oreal. It's great stuff.
5. I am only 23 so I dont use wrinkle creams yet, but Avon Anew lotions work beautifully. My district manager swears by it. She is pushing 60, I'm guessing, but her facial skin is dewey and soft and smooth with few wrinkles. This stuff even makes age spots fade. I hope it is still available when I need it! LOL
6.Never used bare minerals so I can't help you there.
7. I just buy whichever colour of nail polish catches my eye regardless of the brand name....unless it's Wet "N Wild. That stuff is cheap and cruddy so I don't buy it. Most of my polish, now that I think of it, is either Rimmel or Sally Hansen, both of which are sold at Walmart for a good price.
8. I haven't used many different brands of hair colour as i have only been doing it for a year. I like Natural Instincts by Clairol, although it's a demi-permanent dye and fades after a while. The only permanent dye I've tried was a different brand by Clairol - Loving Care I think? - and it smelled hideous. I nearly choked LOL and the colour wasn't accurate. It was supposed to be ash blonde but it was a caramel blonde and it faded quickly. Blech. So I'm not much help there, sorry! Highlight kits, on the other hand, I can recommend. Go for the Revlon ones (not the chunking kit - it faded fast) - they work better than the Herbal Essences kits.

Love your blog Fussy! Keep up the fussing and I hope your morning sickness lets up soon. That's no fun at all but it's worth it in the long run!

This is my best. post. evah.
Thanks to y'all wonderful Friends of Fussy! I love it!

Thank you!

OH fun! I love tips like this. Lord knows I need some help these days.

Any way, a few favorites that are very reasonably priced (we are on a tight budget!)

My favorite mascaras are Max Factor 2000 Calorie and good ole Maybelline Great Lash. I also always curl my lashes.

I am 38 and I have been using eye cream for YEARS and I swear it has helped as I am a squinter. I generally use Neutrogena's eye cream every morning before I apply my makeup. I am using Dove's brand right now. I'm also big on L'oreal products and Oil of Olay products.

As far as hair products, I have naturally curly hair but have uh fried it (overprocessed by highlighting) and generally use Aveda (not cheap) or Colorvive by L'Oreal.

I've been thinking of coloring my own hair (GASP SHOCK) as it is a mighty chunk of change to go to my salon, but then I'm afraid I'll screw it up and cry for days. That would be not good. ;)

I love seeing what everyone else loves to use! Here are a few of my favs:

Hair - Dove shampoo, Biolage conditioning balm (found at Target), "Wired" (hair style stuff by Rusk I think), and Frizzease (found at WalMart - just like Aveda which sells for $20/bottle - but Frizzease is more like $5)

Skincare - Best wrinkle cream I've found is Anew from Avon (and no - I don't sell!). I think it works better than the Estee and Lancome. Cleansing - St. Ives Apricot Scrub with acylic acid a few times a week, Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner (I have huge pore and they look a lot better!), Ponds Dramatic Results Age Defying foam cleanser, and last but not least - Clinique's Dramatically Different Lotion.

I'm a 44 yr old Mom-O-6 and since I've found these products and used them for awhile my skin looks better than it did 5 years ago. Plus I stopped drinking pop (ok - maybe I should say cut back to a couple a week) cut out caffeine and my skin looks noticeably better.

Nails - the only thing that stays on me is Sally Hansen - go figure.
