Oprah, Dr. Oz & Mrs. Fussypants?
Oprah, Dr. Oz and Mrs. Jerry Seinfeld teamed up to do a great show on Monday. It was all about food, kids and health. In case you missed it,your loyal Mrs. Fussypants came to the rescue!
Part 1- Feeding your Monkeys healthy food.
Jessica Seinfeld wrote a supa-cool book about feeding kids healthy stuff. No need to buy it, Friends of Fussy, recipes are here.
You're welcome. Fussy aims to please.
"Hey, this isn't half bad!" Who IS that guy, again?
Oprah takes her life in her hands!
She survives to broccoli coated chicken nuggets unscathed!
Jessica is all about being amazed that she's with THE OPRAH!
Then Oprah & Jessica talked about how great her book is. Yada, Yada, Yada...
Part 2- The Painful Part
here is the painful interesting part of the show.
These two parents have raised these GINORMOUS boys. The boys are 6,8 and 10. All together they easily hit 400 lbs.
Why? Mom and Dad said they were tired of fighting and just gave up.
The cruel truthful nice people at Honey, We're Killing the Kids show up for a reality check!
After much public humiliation and threats of early death, the family has changed the unhealthy ways! Now the boys have lost a few lb.s and do a bit of exercise.
Part 3- Dr. Oz gives everyone a gut check.
You are unhealthy because you eat garbage!
Stop it, NOW!
He talked about personal responsibility, and how we don't need laws to fix the health crisis.
We need to educate ourselves!
Here is all the info from Dr. Oz.
Here is all the supa-cool cooking tips from Mrs. Seinfeld herself.
I'm hungry, where did I leave my spinach/beet puree?

Alli, I couldn't get the link to Dr. Oz's stuff to work. Hope the morning sickness has eased. If you get a chance you may want to check out my girlfriend's blog the-domestic-goddess.blogspot.com. She's a homeschool hottie of 5 children! She has a link to large families & things to say. :)
Trust me, if I had started younger I'd be right there w/y'all!

Girlfriend,
I could not get the link to the EFA's to work. So I went to the Nordic Website. What do I buy for me(I am not preggo or nursing right now) and what do I buy for my kiddos (6-9)? There were several products and I need some direction.
Thank you

Thanks for all the info! I was out all day today and I'd rather get the info from your blog with entertainment than watch the whole episode anyway. Thanks!

Hilarious!
I've noticed when my oldest, who has had problems in school, doesn't get enough protein at breakfast....watch out. He'll come home with a bad report from school.
I need protein alternatives for breakfast because the boy is getting tired of eggs every single day. I wonder what Jessica has to offer there?
Dr. Oz is oddly obsessed with poo. I kinda like him for that but his brows do freak me out.

I reviewed Mrs. Seinfeld's book for Parent Bloggers Network, only I did while I was sick with bronchitis, so my review is really, really, pathetic. Can I borrow yours?

Thanks for the great info and link to free healthy recipes. The brows are seriously weird. And I never get to watch Oprah unless a kid is sick, so she's not worth it to me. Nice to get a solid, second-hand report, complete with pictures!

I would hate to be in their shoes - having the Ophranator and the rest of the stay-at-home world breathing down your backs.

Fussy,
I'm so glad I found you... again! I am new to this blogging business, and haven't written anything down. I saw this post the day you put it up (I lurked without comment!) and then couldn't find it again! I was so frustrated - have been looking for comments by you everywhere... when finally I saw you listed at the bottom of... hmmm, (see what I mean?) I think it was Piper's site.
Not that any of that matters. You are hiLARious!!!! I loved this post! I'm going to send a couple of people here anyway.
I also enjoyed today's post - with Fussy's former jobs. My kids liked it, too. The repetition of your photo on everything was right up their alley.
Thanks for the laughs - KR
