Fussy's Life Lessons

Cool_pix_baby_sloth

  • Follow the 10 commandments.
  • Live the Golden Rule.
  • You know just as much as most people.
  • Showing up is 90% of life.
  • Don't say anything about others that you wouldn't want them to know you've said.
  • Discipline your children. Inspire them for good.
  • Don't get bullied into following political correctness.
  • Being yourself is always better than pretense.
  • Call your relatives, tell them you love them, even when you don't want to.
  • People's lives behind closed doors rarely looks like what you think it does.
  • What you do everyday is way more important than what you do occaisionally.
  • Never compare yourself to the image others project.
  • Say positive words ten times more than negative words.
  • Stop assuming it's about you, it's probably not.
  • Everyone thinks their own kids are smarter, more beautiful, and better behaved than all others.
  • Do what you are afraid to do.
  • Act as if you'll be successful.
  • Make a habit out of smiling. It is truly contagious!
  • Lipstick and sunglasses do wonders.
  • People live up or down to the expectations you put on them.
  • What you eat really does matter.
  • Words can't be taken back, choose them wisely.
  • Revenge rarely turns out as you planned.
  • Never speak out of anger or in revenge.
  • A glass of red wine makes the evenings much better.
  • Hug your children and your spouse at least three times per day.
  • Tell your friends and family all the nice things you are thinking about them.
  • When anyone walks into your presence greet them with a smile.
  • People are just doing the best they can.
  • When you know better, you do better.
  • Everyone craves encouragement and love.
  • No one really wants your opinion, unless asked.
  • Supporting others success doesn't lessen your chances to succeed.
  • Most problems won't matter next week, next month, next year.
  • Stuff we think matters normally doesn't.
  • Money doesn't buy happiness, but is sure is handy.
  • Don't yell at other drivers in your car. You just ruin your own attitude.
  • Complaining about things is the sad hobby of life's losers.
  • People are not mindreaders. Say what you mean.
  • Pull up your big girl panties and put a smile on your face!

    Viva La Fussy! Great list.

    Here are couple from moi:

Good health is something to never take for granted.

Raise your children to be self-sufficient and to treat others with the Golden Rule.

Take time to enjoy the simple pleasures in life.

Turn of the TV! Most television sucks the lifeblood out of you.

    Lipstick and red wine, ahhh...
Oh, and all that other "big picture" stuff :)
Three red wine cheers for Fussy! (Shall we clink our "camouflaged", descreet, plastic cups?)

Happiness is not a set of circumstances, it's a state of mind.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, live the life you've imagined. (Thoreau)

You mean there are some left after that? Those rock darlin'.
Always be kinder than is necessary because everyone is going through something.

The tongue is the strongest muscle in the body: Strengthen it and others by using it only to lift others up.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.

    Lurv ya doll.
    Blessings.

    Wonderful Additions, Friends of Fussy!
The comments on this one will be better than the post.
    Thanks, Y'all.

Imagine that everyone has a sign around them that says, "Make me feel important."

Act enthusiastic and you will become enthusiastic.

All that you send into the lives of others truly does come back to you.

People don't care about how much you know but how much they know you care.

Ladies never start fights, they finish them. (I heard that one on Disney's Aristocrats last night while watching with the kiddos. Ha!)I just wanted to fit that somewhere in my day. It sounded so good when the French speaking cat said it. Ha!

First of all, I love that photo. sooooo cute.

Now for the words... you rock! My favorite: "Do what you are afraid to do" I try to live by that... it is decidedly a catalyst for change... one of the best things in life!

Listen to your elders. Their experience is invaluable.

Is that a sloth? Who knew they were so cute?

Do not try to fix someone's problems, just listen, that may be just what they need. Great Post!! So inspiring.

    These are totally fab.

    Mine are:
-Look for the good in people and you'll usually find it.
-Everyone has something to teach you
    -There will ALWAYS be housework
-You can either be fun or you can be perfect. And you can't really be perfect.

    Mine:
If you fall down, brush off your knees and get back up.
Common sense isn't all that common.
Don't just listen, hear what people are saying.
If someone tells you something enough, you begin to believe it.
    My personal favorite
Take time to stop and smell the roses.

I was just looking through and I saw the most beautiful bracelet I have ever seen...it is the KATE bracelet. What a great name too!

Hope you are going well...digging the christmas bling for your cartoon self.

    Love ya,

    Mrs. Gates

Great stuff. I'm going to try to look back at this when I feel the need to be grumpy or gripe.

    My greatest ally:

Laughter really is the best medicine.

    I love all of yours.

    I would add:

Great shoes can make your day.

Tell the people you love that you do love them, you never know when you'll have another chance to do so.

Look for the humor in life. It makes everything more tolerable.
