Fussy Welcomes Julie To The World Of Boys
I am a devoted stalker lurker reader of the lovely Julie of Mothergoosemouse. She is getting a virtual baby shower today. She will soon have a sweet little baby boy.
There are so many things on which I am at a total loss: HTML coding, the proper rules of punctuation (Hush Up. I know!), the joy of cleaning my home, and having a daughter.
I am the expert on one thing -Raising Boys!
I have four messy, loving, loud, wild, adorable and infuriating sons. I may have mentioned them a few hundred times.
Raising our little monkeys is an honor that Mr. Smartypants and I cherish and are exhausted by. We wouldn't trade a moment. Okay, maybe a moment or two. How about we wouldn't trade a day? No, we've had some yucky days. Hmmm...
Anyhoo, I love them, got it? Here is a little Monkey Business 101 here in the Casa de Pants.
My four sons are a wee-tad loud.
They are always busy.
They always seem to need to be fed.
They always have some brilliance on the tip of their tongue.
They are always helpful.
They enjoy the great outdoors.
They clean up real nice.
They have varied interests.
Everyday is a new adventure.
What do they make me fantasize about?
But not like that one, I want a fancy-schmancy designer urinal.
Now that is a pretty potty!
Because you will never see this!
Other than that, how else do I feel about them?
They hold my heart in their grubby little fingers.
And how do they feel about me?
I'm the Queen Mum!
Congratulations Julie! Welcome to the world of dirt, cars, balls (hee, hee), and earplugs!
Love, Fussy

Update- ACK! My fonts are all crazy at the top. I've tried to fix it. Ack! See, I know nothing HTML coding. ~shakes fist in the air~

My StumbleUpon Page
ROFL Fussy. You know I know how you feel! And that kid in the potty picture, I was fortunate enough to come upon the same exact scene once before! (And another time they children were taking turns throwing things in the potty and fishing them out. Ewwww! "We're going fishing!" they declared.
But I know what you mean, I wouldn't trade (almost) any of it. ;^P

Wow, I will never understand boys! Seems like you got a hold on it though, how fun! But if you ever need help with princesses, Polly Pockets, lip gloss, and designer jeans, I'm your girl!!

Boys RAWK! There will never be a lack of dirt, bodily functions and grossness, but their hearts are good.

Awesome post! One thing, though, I have seen THAT happen. Oh yes, I have. I was babysitting a four-year old boy and he was, um, ahem, perhaps a bit, um excited and he, uh, shot himself in the face. But before he took a shower, he shot that stuff straight up and into the toilet with a perfect arc.

If it weren't for my boys, I wouldn't be the completely mental yet entertaining nervous wreck I am today!

Oh my gosh, you are a total crack up!!! I love it!

Boys, gotta love em !!

I have four boys... and three girls. I will take the rocks and sticks and critters over the hair drama any day. And, seriously, army men are so much less annoying than keeping track of all the baby doll accessories.
Boys are so much easier! Can't wait 'til they are teenagers...

I will always die when I see that photo of the kid head first in the fridge. It kills me!

We are praying about having another baby this year. I'm soooo ready for a boy. We have 2 girls right now ages 4 and 2. I wouldn't trade them for the world but my husband needs a rough and tumble little boy. :)

Ha! Hysterical pictures.
Posted by:Jenny | January 21, 2008 at 06:48 PM
Too funny!! I love the pictures!
I have one boy. I only have one kid. But I have 2 males in this house total and neither of them can hit the toilet. One is 5, the other is 30!!
My advice - invest in Clorox cleaning wipes Julie!

Fussy, I love those boys, too! You are blessed, Little Missy.

I only ever wanted boys. And, having seen the lily urinal I certainly know why! Oh, you make a wonderful Queen Mum Fussy. I had that WW bathing suit in 1979. You still fit in yours & look quite hawt in it!

I wouldn't trade my boys for anything. There's only room for one girl in this house!
Julie, congrats on the impending arrival of your little man.

Thank you, Mrs. Fussypants! Such a svelte Wonder Woman figure, even after four boys!
The noise...I'd forgotten that it will get even noisier around here, and not just due to a crying baby.

Adorable! I am rolling because I took a picture today of Noah standing in our dishwasher "helping" all while wearing his sister's fairy skirt.
I love my loud crazy boy!
Great advice and fabulous post as always honey!

You ARE the Queen Mum! And you look smashing, Dahling!
BTW, I gave you some linky love today. I posted about my BE-u-tiful earrings!

Boys are WONDERFUL. I love my little guy.

I love boys. I happen to have a pair of them in my home. Messy, wonderful creatures.

I always thought I'd have a houseful of boys and be the Queen Mum. Probably because I grew up with a houseful of boys (well, one brother and four boy cousins who lived down the street) and I was the Princess Girl to them all. Enjoy it!

I had two boys followed by my little girl. The boys were easier! As always a pleasure visiting here.

Fussy, Been lurking for a while, but felt the urge to comment regarding your urinal fantasies. AMEN! My toilets are...well...just plain nasty...despite twice a week cleanings. I have 2 boys and a husband. I would love a urinal on the main floor powder room, but would need it to be less industrial than your first picture, too.
KEEP BELIEVING

Where did you get a picture of my boys from? :)
Posted by:Debbie | January 22, 2008 at 02:58 PM
ROFLMAO!!! I have two of those. Even though they are just toddlers right now they can be every bit as much as the older boys. LOL!

4 boys! You must clean toilets all day. I have one and he has yet to master not peeing all over the toilet, floor or walls.
Posted by:slackermommy | January 22, 2008 at 04:41 PM
Hillarious! Boys are great aren't they?
BTW, I think my bride is going to make your Motto at the top of your site her new mantra!

It is a whole other world isn't it? At least for me who grew up with two sisters and we were known as "the girls." But now I have two boys and wouldn't change it for the world. The yelling, peeing, mud and crashing everything come along with impossibly long eyelashes and "mama is the queen." Congrats Julie AND Fussy on your soon-to-arrive baby boys.
