Blissfully Domestic ~Everything you need to make family life easier~
My next sites will launch a week from today. My wonderful friend Karla (Looking Towards Heaven) made the banner and will be running the site and the accompanying social site with me.
We have so many wonderful women on board, many of whom you already know, who will be editors and featured authors. I'll let the names remain a mystery until Monday. ;)
Here is the Blissfuly Domestic Lowdown-
- It is not just for homeschool families, however, I felt homeschoolers needed a fun, hip and informative site that catered to them as well.
- Blissfully Domestic will cover "everything you need to make family life easier!" That, Friends of Fussy, is a promise. It will be full of wonderful things.
- Hacks will be submitted by YOU, yes, you, and then published on the site. This will be in the spirit of ParentHacks. I love how parents all over get to share their ideas. However, our hacks will cover many categories.
- We will have a special forum, similar to The League of Extraordinary Wives, dedicated to the Blissfully Domestic Reader Community. This group will be open to the public and will cover topics from Blissfully Domestic.
What will Blissfully Domestic cover?
- Homeschooling (my first love)
- Inspiration-Devotions
- Kid's Health- we have our own Doctor turned full-time-Mommy on staff!
- Beauty
- Marriage Building (sound familiar?)
- Cooking & Weekly Menu Planning
- Crafts & Fun Housewifery
- Parenting
We still have openings available for bloggers interested in-
- Organizing
- Frugal Living
- Decorating
Please contact me at iamfussypants@gmail.com if you would like to throw your hat in the ring.
What will the set up be for the posts?
- Each of our editors and authors will post one to three times per week.
- The Foodie Guru will provide weekly family friendly menu plans each weekend.
- We will have daily reader submitted hacks. If your hack is submitted, you will forever be featured on our Hacker Blogroll! ;)
Is it just me or is this the most fun thing ever? YAY!
Love, Fussy
PS- I would love to hear your thoughts, Homeschoolers/Moms/Domestic Divas. What would make an all-in-one site even better for you? I would love to hear your ideas and suggestions.

Girl, you have a lot of energy! I am not a homeschool mom, but my sister is. I'm going to pass this on to her.

Per our late late night discussion, I think an article or open Q and A for people considering homeschooling, who have questions, to get brutally honest feedback--would be helpful. Thanks for your comment by the way.

Fussy, what an awesome idea!!! We are going to start homeschooling this fall and I would love to be in touch with other homeschoolers to get ideas, encouragement, and such. This is going to be soooo much fun :)

I love the banner! Karla, you are so talented.
And Mrs. F, WHEN do you sleep woman? You amaze me!
I don't homeschool, but certainly need help with meal planning and also frugal grocery shopping tips. I spend WAY too much weekly at the grocery. It could be so much better.
I'm lazy, though. Can you help me with that? ;)

Well, my kids are grown and out of the nest so no Homeschool Hacks for me.
I have been divorced for many years so no Gentle Art of Ruling the Hubs for me.
What I'd really like to know is how I can purchase a jar of your never ending enthusiastic, funny, non-stop energy!!!
Blogging, schooling, wife-ing, mothering, jewelry making, contest holding, AND she's expecting!
Woman, you must be from another planet!
(((hugs))) ...
make that ::: bows to you :::

Hey! Great idea! Before I married, I was a missionary teacher with New Tribes Mission. Let me know if I can ever help with any school stuff or missions stuff or devotions or any stuff. My husband and I will be celebrating our first anniversary March 3. We are hoping, praying, and trying for a baby! We would love to start a family soon! So...no parenting stuff from me...yet! :)

FUN! I am jumping into the Homeschool ring in the fall with my DS. I am excited for your newest site to launch! I may have an organization or frugal living hack or two in my bag of tricks. We shall see. :)
Posted by: TracyMichele | February 12, 2008 at 08:53 AM
Not a homeschooler. but excited all the same, love the hacks! Wish I was an organizer, interior decorator or was good at frugal living so I could contribute, but sadly, NO to all of the above. Talk to me if you want more help in the food department, because that I can do! :)
Can't wait to read it!

Why do I suddenly have the feeling that Fussypants is dead set on blogworld domination?
I bow down to our leader.

I am starting homeschool this fall and would LOVE to learn from some veterans. I've tried some sites / blogs but they always seem to turn their focus on one area, like crafts, when what I really need is help with the semantics: scheduling, curriculi, not going insane, stuff like that.
Posted by: Marie | February 12, 2008 at 12:44 PM
What about mommy health? I think it would be nice to have a weekly idea/reminder on things moms can do to take care of their health and well-being. We get so focused on everything else we forget to take care of ourselves as well and goodness then what would happen to our poor family?!?!
