Today is day 9 (I think) of bedrest. I'm not sure what looks worse at this point, my house or my hair? The vacuum, the mop, the good hair products and the lipstick have not been touched. I confess, Friends of Fussy, I have been overcome by the frump this week.
Want a quick update? Great! Mr. Smartypants' mom will fly in tomorrow and then my mom will take over sometime next week. Operation Sensitivity Training is complete. ~winks~
Brace yourselves before you see this picture. This will not be pretty.
Oh, the embarrassment of wearing that shirt! ~Fussy shamefully shakes her head~ I know, I know. It's up to you this week to hold up the fight the frump banner. I took the week off! Next week, I promise I'll be fighting right along with you. I'll be fighting from my couch. Maybe I'll talk about pedicures. Hey, can someone help me reach my toes?

I think you look just beautiful. I really, really do. What a pretty mama. Go ahead and dump the frump this week; the glow has taken you over!

Surprise, surprise! I screwed up again! Haha, I just have to laugh now! Would you pleeeaaaase delete the 1st one where I screwed up? My eternal gratitude & thanks to you ;o)
Thanks SO much for the Frump Fighting, Fussy! I feel SO lucky - my daughter just woke me up again, so I figured I'd go ahead and post this before I went back to bed (*yawn!*) Am I addicted...? Haha!

Adorable! You're looking absolutely wonderful. Seriously! :)
I was not even nearly so cute at any of my 35 weeks.
Posted by: Domestic Spaz | April 18, 2008 at 06:24 AM
I'm confused. You look exactly how I look every single day.
Who you calling frumpy? I thought all I had to do to fight the frump was wear a fitted (you nailed that one) v-neck t-shirt. Man. This is hard.
You are huge. I'm just sayin.
Love love love love love!

Oh Fussy, this will pass soon enough. I'm about a week behind you, but thankfully have managed to avoid bedrest. You are beautiful, adorable, and otherwise fabulous! Hang in there, my bloggy friend!
Posted by: Sarah | April 18, 2008 at 06:29 AM
Fussy, you're pregnant! You're ALLOWED to look like that - which is looking beautiful, I might add!
I've got some great tips to help boost your moood today.
Love ya!! MWAH!!

You look lovely!
Thanks for the earrings. I love em!
Cut yourself some slack. And, I agree with an earlier commenter, the glow has taken over.

Bless your heart!! I can remember being that big, but I don't remember looking that good.

I think you look really cute! Besides, you're in the comfort of your own home.
Hang in there...you're soooo close now! :)

Crap ~ all of your commenters are making me feel guilty for not rushing over to your house and painting your toes.
I've been a bad bad friend...

Ms. Fussy stop being so hard on yourself right now this very second.
EVERYONE is allowed a frump moment or 10.
You look FAB darlin, cuz you are even more beautiful on the INSIDE and that's saying a lot cuz you're a hottie on the outside. =)
Posted by: Darla | April 18, 2008 at 11:11 AM
You and Jr. look adorable!
I was half expecting this week's "Fight the Frump" post to be about unfrumping your bed - new sheets, new comforter etc. AS YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ON BEDREST!!! Just wait till Mr. Smartypants' and Mrs. Fussypants' mommas arive on the scene and you just attempt to get your hiney offa that couch or bed. Then we will see who is in charge!

You are so adorable. I love that you look as if there's a beach ball stuck up your shirt!
Happy to hear your help will be arriving soon. Maybe she can give you a pedicure! :)

Are you kidding me? You STILL look adorable!
Posted by: Ashley | April 18, 2008 at 02:26 PM
You look beautiful, as always!
Now go put those feet up and close those eyes.
I can't wait to take pictures of you and that little smiley. :-)

The rest of your body looks so fabulously normal...it's as if he is just oddly positioned. That's it! You look great, Mrs. Fussypants!
Posted by: Hawt & Bothered | April 18, 2008 at 02:52 PM
You look beautiful and you DESERVE to embrace the frump at this point my friend!
Posted by: Jamie | April 18, 2008 at 03:52 PM
you are just awesome ... even preggers you are adorable! You have about 5 more weeks to revel in the frump ... well, I would personally take 6 or 7 - I was never very good at ftf after the babies were born!
Posted by: beachmom | April 18, 2008 at 04:08 PM
You look beautiful!!!
Your baby is cute, too.
Posted by: Christine | April 18, 2008 at 04:12 PM
Fussy you look fantastic!
Posted by: Hottdog | April 18, 2008 at 05:53 PM
You are adorable. It does certainly look like there has been some droppage action going on! Do you ever go early? That does not look like a 35 wk belly, mamacita.

Have I mentioned how much I love the Friends of Fussy?
I do!
Posted by: Mrs. Fussypants | April 19, 2008 at 07:41 AM
You look fab-u-lous to me! I didn't look that good when I was pregnant...and I didn't have others kids to watch over!
Posted by: Lori | April 19, 2008 at 01:09 PM
Fussy, it's been a long tough week, hasn't it? I think you need to shamelessly let the mothers pamper you with pedis and chocolate.
Posted by: Karen | April 19, 2008 at 03:56 PM
I hope this post was kind of tongue in cheek. I read this before I showered, and as I showered and thought about it I kept getting more and more irritated. I love Mrs. Fussypants very much and I'm with you on fighting the frump - trust me, I feel naked without lipstick on. But . . . you with your hair done and in a darling maternity outfit acting like you were in your husband's sweats and t-shirt or something. You look great, and saying how frumpy and embarrassing you look puts an awful lot of pressure on all the other pregnant mamas. You're on bedrest and weeks away from having a baby. Give yourself (and the rest of us) a break!
Posted by: Emily | April 19, 2008 at 05:36 PM
Hair done? I hadn't washed it in two days! hee, hee..
Posted by: Mrs. Fussypants | April 19, 2008 at 06:00 PM
I think you look so CUTE! I gained SIXTY POUNDS with each pregnancy, so I think you look svelte for a pregnant lady and all.
Posted by: Beck | April 19, 2008 at 07:19 PM
You look adorable! I sent a friend your way I hope she stops by, you will love each other!
Posted by: Dr. Nicole Sundene | April 19, 2008 at 10:23 PM
Hmmm, I can't agree you look frumpy but I can say you look burstingly round and adorably fresh & young. If not washing your hair for two days is your secret then keep it up! If sensitivity training is complete then I hope Mr Smartypants has grauated to VP level there, and now the seasoned pros can step in. :)

Just think of the precious sacrifice you're making to bring this little one into the world. ;) I looked like that with number 3 so I think you're doing great!!!!!! :) Not long to go now! How excitement!!!!

I got behind on my blogging, but I'm caught up now. I have a post for April 18 now and it's all about fighting foot frump! :)
And you look fabulous in my book! You're entitled to a week off. ;)
