Moosh in Indy's Well Suited.

Hi there. Casey from moosh in indy here. I'm pleased as punch that Mrs. Fussypants has sold her house and is currently packing up to get the heck out of dodge with her 5 lil' chitlins.

If you're like me you're in awe of her ability to design and decorate and keep a house that isn't full of bachelor pad furniture. (Hi, hello, that's me.)

I've been studying all of the great design tips over at Blissfully Domestic
and I'm pleased to show you, dear Fussypants readers, my first ever Blissfully Domestic decorating tip makeover.
A few months ago this quick suggestion caught my eye. Nester suggested using a suitcase to balance out a puny piece of furniture.

Designing with suitcases

Lovely right? Just wait until you see my new suitcase adorned living space. You'll be tickled and delighted with my creativity and the ambiance I created.

my design with a suitcase

TaDa! It really balances out the foot powder and busted doorknob, am I right? Yeah?

I wish my darling Fussypants all the love in the world and I'd like to offer my decorating skills for her new house. But you'd better call me soon, because after this baby publishes? I'll be rolling in the bookings.

xo you beautiful Friends of Fussy. Love the shoes.

LOL! I don't think that's what Nester meant. Nice try, tho.

Perfect- eat that Vern Yip!

seriously you have amazing style sense. Even the contrasting colors are just perfect! well done...

Oh love it. I think you should go on Design Star. ;)

Finally, I decorating tip that I can actually implement in my own home! :-)

I like it! In fact, I'm going to add that tip to my own "favorite designs" notebook. (right. like I have one of those)

THAT is lovely. I'm going to try that out as part of my "staging" the house for house showings. It's just so darn beeeeeautiful! Foot powder and all. Which brand was that? I want to get the look JUST right. :-)

Wow...you must have decorated MY house!

That was the funniest post ever!

It counter balances the iron nicely. When do you hear back about your application to "Extreme Makeover...Home Edition?" I know you are just DYING to work with Ty. *drool*

Woo hoo - finally not just me with space and decorating issues.

perfect suggestion ... and certainly works with what I have laying around for those "quick fixes"!
LOL

HAHA! That just made my morning. I am an interior designer and i've been staring at spec sheets all morning (including one of a rather hideous carpet that I most certainly did not specify) and needed a bit of a laugh. :) I especially like the well-placed iron.

Good job. I can see you have a real eye for interior design!!!

What are you doing taking pictures of my house?!

Wait a second: where are the toenail clippers? I can't believe you forgot the toenail clippers! They were supposed to be put 3.5 millimeters to the southwest of the foot powder. Good grief, you just can't get good help any more!

(This was hysterical)

Your suitcase on bookshelf is very reminiscent of much of my household decorating.

Oh my goodness- I started reading and I got all judgemental and thought" jeez she is guest hosting and she is just gonna like to a decor blog! So lame!" and then I read on and spit my Vanilla Latte all over my keyboard! So DANG funny....hysterical. I have got check you out more....cuz you one funny gal!

FUNNY! Just when you start taking this decorating stuff all so seriously....HA!

Oh my gosh, Casey. I love you. That was so amazing. I'm so glad someone else can misinterpret design ideas nearly as well as me!

I always knew you were talented, Casey.

Love it! Very authentic and practical too. If you need to head out of town, no more rummaging around in the attic. Just grab and go. I like it!
xoxo

That was fantastically interpreted.
You now have a new fan!
