I have always wanted to build a portal to all my favorite things: News, Politics, Homemaking, Christianity, bizarro funnies and more. I link some things because they are wonderful, some because they enrage me, and some because I agree completely. There's no rhyme or reason, just what ever interests me all during the day. I love the Drudge Report and wanted my own "Drudge for Chicks" that could be used as the lazy gal's guide to staying in the know. You likey?

The amazing developer Daisy Olsen custom built my site and Karla Porter made my lovely header. I am so proud of the result!

You may be wondering when I mention free jewelry, right?

Remember I had a contest for my new header? Yep, that pretty header up there. Carrie of Sweet Faerie Designs won.

This contest is a shameless way for me to get tons of customized buttons & a way for designers to get tons of free exposure. Sweet, huh?

I need buttons for Worthy Wire that will go in reader sidebars.

• 125 x 125
• 50 x 125

And I need buttons for blogs to display that say they were featured on Worthington wire in both sizes.

The designs need not be blue/brown nor be all matchy-matchy. I think it's fun to mix it up for the buttons. Also, you can enter as many designs as you like for the contest. Sound fun? Great!

I will display the top designers with links back to the designer's business sites next weekend and then the readers will vote for the designer who will win the free photo necklace.

This is the. last. group of jewelry pictures for months. I won't be able to make any starting soon because of the move (No news yet. You'll be the first to know. Promise) and the baby.

I am still taking orders for the photo necklaces and bracelets. I'll take orders through the end of this week. That way I can be sure to have it delivered to you for Mother's Day and before I have the baby.

To be both arbitrary and fair, I had my kids choose. I said, "Pick a number between 0 and 7." Then I asked my 6 year old to pick a number between 0 and 9.

The boys oh-so scientifically chose 53. I counted the comments 6 times, so not to miscount. It would be just like me to miscount.

I love to make jewelry. Unfortunately I am the world's worst business woman. My habit of selling it at cost and/or giving it away has halted the whole entrepreneur gig, much to Mr. Smartypants' dismay. I finally realized that when I think of jewelry as a 'job' it just wasn't as much fun. I love to give, to see eyes light up and celebrate friendship. That is where my joy comes from when I design each piece.

Fussy's Back with Jewelry Winners!

Whoo-Hoo, I'm home. I missed you!

We made it back from the family reunion with all four of the boys. We offered a certain boy, who shall remain nameless, to many of the relatives, but sadly, we had no takers.

Hopefully, I'll post some pictures over the weekend of our adventures.

What? You need at least one funny story? OK, here goes...

Hub's parents rented a convertible.  I asked why they hadn't put the top down. They explained that they had luggage in the backseat and didn't want it to fly out while driving! Now can y'all imagine driving down the highway, a convertible passes you in the left lane, and you see an oversized (50lb) suitcase magically lift up and fly out of the backseat and scatter orthopedic shoes, polyester blazers, and sun visors all over the road? Gave me a chuckle.

Anyhoo, I have winnahs!

The Winner of Operation Bling

Oh, The Winner! 

After the world's longest contest much waiting, I am happy to announce the winner of my latest Operation Bling for Attention. Thank you to everyone who entered! I'll have a new cheap trick for attention jewelry contest up for December. This one will only last two weeks, as opposed to a decade all month!

Had I realized the sloppiness of my handwriting, I would've rewritten the names. Sheesh!
